INNOVATION EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2021 JUDGING CRITERIA

16 FEBRUARY 2021

Innovation Excellence Awards 2021 Judging Criteria

Judges will read and pre-score entries (taking into consideration any materials submitted) on the criteria below. These scores will be combined to give an overall score and the highest scoring entries will determine the shortlists.

Judges will meet to discuss the shortlists and agree the winner in each category, and winners will be announced at the (virtual) Awards ceremony on 22 June 2021.

Criteria

  • How the innovation addresses a current or unmet need in the market
  • Whether the innovation creates a new market
  • How the innovation improves the end user experience
  • Potential or proven commercial/non-commercial KPIs for success
  • Business model
  • Any customer/market testing response
  • What the clear points of differentiation are that the innovation has from other products/services in the market.
  • Wider social impact on community at large including sustainability and environmental impact

Start – ups will additionally be evaluated on scalability

The judging panel is looking for novel ideas and solutions to existing challenges, accompanied by evidence that the innovation has been, or will be, translated into worthwhile benefits.

Succinct, clear entries are welcomed.

The judges reserve the right to request additional clarifying information. Requests for this – if needed - will come from the Stationers’ office and not direct from judges themselves

The judges’ decision is final and binding.
