The Stationers’ Academies
The Stationers’ Company is delighted to work with the Leigh Academy Trust in supporting two academies in South East London.
Leigh Stationers’ Academy (LSA)
The LSA opened in 2014 as the Stationers’ Crown Woods Academy. Support of the academy isthe Foundation’s most significant charitable activity since the opening of the first Stationers’ Company school on Fleet Street in 1861.
In 2014, the Company raised and donated over £500,000 to build a media centre at the academy, to give pupils the opportunities of learning about the media world.
Leigh Stationers' Academy – Part of Leigh Academies Trust
Members of the Stationers’ Company sit on the Board of Governors of the two Academies, one of whom is the Chair of the Board.
Through the Stationers’ Foundation, annual funding for the academies is provided along with a mentorship programme for school leavers.
Leigh Stationers’ Primary Academy (LSPA)
In 2024, the Stationers’ Company took on support of Eastcote Primary School with the Leigh Academy Trust, to create the Leigh Stationers’ Primary Academy. This wonderful primary academy is rated ‘Outstanding’ by OFSTED, thanks to the wonderful teachers, staff and governors who dedicate so much of their energies to creating a wonderful environment for pupils to learn and thrive.
