SME Membership

Joining as an SME member is an opportunity for your business to show the world that you are a true leader in our trades.

Our Corporate and SME members and our media partners represent some of the most significant companies from across all sectors of the UK communication and content industries.

We understand that businesses come in all shapes and sizes and therefore have two categories of corporate membership: Corporate membership (recommended for mid to high turnover businesses) and ‘SME’ membership (recommended for smaller turnover businesses).

On expressing your desire to become a Corporate or SME member, we will arrange a meeting with you at Stationers’ Hall, to find out more about your business and discuss the benefits to your business of membership of the Stationers’ Company.

These include use of Stationers’ Hall for your business events, use of the meeting rooms, liveryman status for a number of your lead executives, invitations as guests of the Company to our most prestigious events, and many networking opportunities with fellow corporate and individual members.

Benefits for our SME members

Membership is awarded to the company and remains with the company on payment of the annual fees. Associate membership is awarded to two of your senior executives. These delegates will be your company’s key representatives at the Stationers’ Company and will benefit from the same privileges as our liverymen.

With over six hundred years’ experience in the communications and content industries, membership of the Stationers’ Company brings kudos and regard, elevating your business’ brand image. Membership also provides superb PR opportunities for corporates to shout about.

Your company will benefit from 50% discount of hiring Stationers’ Hall to host a company event (excludes Thursdays and Saturdays). You also benefit from a number of free uses per year of the meeting rooms, equipped with modern audio-visual facilities that cater for business meetings and seminars.

SME members benefit from free entry into our warrants scheme for one product or service each year. The Stationers’ Warrant for excellence is awarded to products or services which are judged to be truly excellent. More information on the scheme can be found here.

We have a full calendar of social and business events both in Stationers’ Hall, in other venues in the City of London and activities across the country. We also take part in inter-livery events to meet and network with members of other livery companies.

The livery offers the opportunity to socialise on a regular basis and nurture lifelong friendships and invaluable business relationships.

Your lead associate member is invited to some of the Company’s most exclusive events, including the Charter Dinner and the Annual Lecture. We also host an exclusive event for all our Corporate and SME members’ lead associates. All associate members have free access to our industry seminar events, which we host throughout the year.

There are many ways in the Stationers’ Company to give back to others in our trades, through mentoring programmes, through the Foundation which supports education and welfare, through the Hall Charity which supports our archives and Stationers’ Hall. Our members sit as governors of Leigh Stationers’ Academy and Leigh Stationers’ Primary Academy and give their time as trustees of our charities and committees – a force for good.
