We are delighted that Honorary Liveryman Vint Cerf will be delivering our Annual Lecture. His lecture is titled 'Future of Text'.
At Google, Vint Cerf contributes to global policy development and continued spread of the Internet. Widely known as one of the "Fathers of the Internet," Cerf is the co-designer of the TCP/IP protocols and the architecture of the Internet. He has served in executive positions at the Internet Society, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, the American Registry for Internet Numbers, MCI, the Corporation for National Research Initiatives, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and on the faculty of Stanford University.
The evening will begin at 6.00 pm with a drinks reception, followed by the lecture at 6.30 pm in the Hall. Time will be given for questions before the end of the talk at 8.00 pm. A Champagne reception with canapes will be served until 8.30 pm, when those staying for dinner will move into the Court Room, where a three- course dinner will be served. The evening will finish at 10.30 pm.
