Not Known

The 'Lenses of History'
2021 Ludgate Colloquium
Location: The Church of St Martin-within-Ludgate, 40 Ludgate Hill, London EC4M 7DE
The last Ludgate colloquia have concentrated on a) what we do not know about the past; b) what we have forgotten; and c) what we have remembered. This year we are thinking about the particular ‘lenses’ through which knowledge of history happens. We are asking about how particular assumptions across time have inflected or indeed produced what was seemed to be historical knowledge.
