How to maximise your workforce planning
Government funded learning programmes
In association with ApprenticeFutures
When: Wednesday, 19th January 2022 at 6pm
Duration: 1hr 15 mins
It is very difficult to navigate the government’s range of training initiatives available to employers. Our own ApprenticeFutures, Apprentice Ambassador would like to help you understand what opportunities are available. Liveryman Anne Ashworth with a panel of experts will share their knowledge to help you with your workforce planning and business growth.
The panel discussion facilitated by Court Assistant and Chairman of the Education Committee, Geraldine Allinson OBE DL and led by Anne will discuss benefits and options and answer your questions about what these mean for you, your business, colleagues and those you advise.
On our expert panel are:
Anne Ashworth from Pearson Plc is our Apprentice Ambassador and a member of the National Apprentice Ambassador Network that supports the Government in the promotion of apprenticeships.
Siobhan Bradley Employee Apprenticeship Programme Manager for Pearson Plc and a member of the National Apprentice Ambassador Network.
Neil Weller MBE, Chair of the London Apprenticeship Ambassador Network, Consultant to Engineering Consultancy Firm Troup Bywaters + Anders and Chair of the Building Services Level 3,4 and 6 Trailblazer Groups.
It is fair to say that as a Livery we have been involved in apprenticeships since our inception. It is a major part of our history (as is borne out by reading our archives) and is now part of our present and future with the reintroduction of the ‘apprentice binding ceremony’ moving on to the ‘apprentice freeman’ role in our Company. As a Company we are very active in this area and you will have seen the various events we have led on and been part of during the last few years. We have many more planned for the future.
However, apprenticeships are not the only tool open to employers to broaden out their talent pipeline. We are very fortunate in the UK to have an infrastructure of funding that provides a range of tools for employers to assist us with our workforce planning to support the development of new skills required to meet the changing face of our industries and create a foundation for growth.
This evening is an opportunity to find out about these different programmes and explore how they could work for you either in isolation or as a package for your talent development. If you are involved in shaping the future of your workforce or interested in learning more generally, then this event is for you.
All our industry events are free but please do consider making a donation to the Stationers' Hall Charity by copying the link below:
