Master's Installation Party 2023
Celebrates the Installation of our new Master

Following Common Hall, Liverymen, Freemen and their guests are invited to stay on for the Master’s Installation Party, with a champagne canapé reception in the garden.

This year, if elected, the new Master will be Anthony Garrett Mash (pictured above). Tony was educated at the Stationers’ Company’s School, University College, London where he studied Chemistry, the Manchester Business School and the Institut Supėrieur des Affaires in France. He is a native of the United Kingdom and is a citizen of the United States
of America and the Republic of Ireland.

He spent 27 years with ICI and AstraZeneca in Europe and the USA. He later worked for companies in Australia, the USA and Japan before becoming CEO of the British Coatings Federation and representing the UK Printing Ink Industry to the Media and Government.

Tony first came to Stationers’ Hall in 1962 for a plate of Bangers and Mash and a fee of one shilling from the legacy of Past Master John Norton for singing in the school choir at the Company’s Ash Wednesday service in St Paul’s Cathedral. He attended his first Civic Dinner in 1968 as School Vice-Captain and was the President of the Old Stationers’ Association in 2002. He became a Liveryman of the Stationers’ Company in 2003 where he served as Trade Association Liaison and later ran the Innovation Excellence Awards during its first 4 years.

He joined the Court in 2014 and chaired both the Industry and Marketing Advisory Committees. He is the Treasurer of the Friends of the Stationers’ Foundation in the USA and is committed to building stronger links between the Company and those in the Communications and Content Industries abroad.

In his spare time, he is a pianist, composer of music, amateur acting enthusiast and a struggling golfer.
