AN EVENING WITH THE ROYALS TOLD BY ROBERT JOBSON

7 AUGUST 2025

An Evening with the Royals told by Robert Jobson

After the ceremony and excitement of welcoming The Queen as a new Honorary Liveryman what better way to end July than an evening with The Standard’s Royal Correspondent Robert Jobson, writes Mike James.

We moved from a regular Literary Lunch at Ye Olde Watling to a sell-out evening dinner at the sophisticated L’escargot in the heart of Soho.

The Stationers’ Literary Lunch regulars were joined with members of The London Press Club. We were brilliantly entertained by Robert who talked about his Sunday Times best-selling book on The Princess of Wales, and allowed us into some of the secrets that allow Royal Correspondents access behind the scenes at various State Occasions.

The audience were also amused to learn how Robert’s fascinating career developed from his early days working with Robert Maxwell to his current position where he works with The Master with the London Standard.

We are pleased to report that nearly all our Literary events sell out quickly so please contact me at “mjames@dundaleassociates.co.uk
