Invitatation to the University of Hertfordshire's Heritage Hub's upcoming Women's Heritage Seminar to celebrate the launch of Dr Sharon Maxwell Magnus' recently published book, 'Feminism, UK Women’s Magazines and the Women Who Created Them, 1975-1992: More than Just a Glossy Cover'. Sharon will be talking about coverage of Feminism in women’s magazines of the period, with particular reference to the Sex Discrimination Act (1975) and Equal Pay Act (1970), on the anniversary, or very close to it, of their enactment. There will also be a talk by Penny East, Chief Executive at the Fawcett Society, who will discuss what Millicent Fawcett's work on equal pay and equality can tell us about the future threats of AI and technological change to the gender pay gap.

The programme offers an opportunity to work as an intern for a Polish company while exploring the culture and history of Poland. I have been accepted as an intern at EMCA S.A. Energy Logserver, they specializes in cybersecurity and IT/business consulting for green energy solutions.
I began my Polish adventure in Warsaw in mid-September. Since other scholars had started earlier, I had to catch up quickly. On the same day, I signed the scholarship contract and rushed to a pierogi workshop, where I made my own Polish dumplings my first activity in the programme and the first time I met my fellow scholars.

The Bell House Print Room & Bindery in Dulwich Village has been awarded a significant National Lottery Heritage Fund grant to expand its community engagement and creative education programmes.
Co-founded by Liveryman Simon Trewin, literary agent and heritage crafts advocate, together with artist and designer Tania Hurt-Newton, the studio has become a beacon for traditional letterpress printing and bookbinding in South London. Working in collaboration with the charitable trust at Bell House, the Print Room has helped hundreds of visitors reconnect with the tactile joy of ink, paper, and type.

New corporate members Hahnemühle UK and their Beta partners were delighted to host around 65 photographers, artists, galleries, and printers at an invitation only event at Stationers Hall on the 16th of September, to invite feedback on their new software solution My Art Registry 2:0.
MAR 2:0 will enable the secure global distribution of Art and Photographic limited-edition image files for Giclee Digital prints, on Hahnemühle Digital Fine Art paper or as NFT’s. Each image will have a corresponding certificate of authenticity, with the unique security features and signed by the photographer, artist / content creator.
Participants from our global network of Platinum certified studios, will be responsible for printing the images and delivering the certificates of authenticity to the end users, locally.
The service will be launched globally on the 2nd of December 2025.

The winners of the Innovation Excellence Awards 2025 were announced at a packed ceremony and champagne lunch at the historic Stationers’ Hall in London on Friday 17 October.
The prestigious Innovator of the Year award went to FabLittleBag, for its sustainable, discreet and eco-friendly period disposal bags designed to tackle plastic pollution in waterways and end taboos around menstrual waste. The award was presented by Dr Vanessa Lawrence CB, former Director General and CEO of Ordnance Survey and founding Co-Chair of the United Nations Committee on Global Geospatial Information Management.

Following a review by the Confederation of Paper Industries (CPI), it has been agreed that the Paper Industry Gold Awards will move to a two-year cycle, with the next ceremony scheduled for 2027.
The Paper Gold Medal Committee met recently and has confirmed that the Paper Gold Medal will remain an integral part of the Awards, continuing to represent the highest individual honour in the UK’s Paper-based Industries. The Gold Medal recognises outstanding people who work to further the interests of the industry, over and above their duties to any individual company, and will once again be the centrepiece of the 2027 event.
