No-one knows exactly when freemasonry first appeared in Ireland, but its presence was certainly well-noted by the 17th century. Then, in 1725, the first evidence for a Grand Lodge in Ireland appeared in The Dublin Weekly Journal on 26 June, describing a meeting of the Grand Lodge to install the new Grand Master, Richard Parsons, the 1st Earl of Rosse just two days previous.
Kindra collaborated closely with the author, Charles Horton, to produce a book that would not only take the reader on a journey through Irish freemasonry, but also highlight its extensive material culture. The book is richly illustrated throughout, with each item meticulously selected to showcase a different aspect of the story.

The Baal’s Bridge Square - possibly the earliest speculative masonic artefact worldwide
