Komori International (Europe) B.V. has appointed Jacob Hummel as its new Chief Commercial Officer. In this role, he will assume responsibility for the commercial development and leadership of European sales activities. The appointment is part of Komori’s clear strategic direction in Europe. The goal is to further expand its market position, gain additional market share, tap into new customer groups, and develop new markets.

The graphic arts industry is undergoing a profound transformation. Automation, digitization, integrated production processes, and new business models are changing customer requirements and investment decisions. Komori is therefore realigning its European organization more closely with these changes.

The focus is on evolving from a traditional press supplier to a provider of integrated production solutions. Offset printing, digital printing, postpress, automation, software, and service are to be more closely integrated and positioned in the market as a unified solution. This also changes the role of the sales organization. The focus is increasingly on understanding customers’ business models and production processes. The goal is to develop concrete solutions based on this understanding that increase productivity, automate processes, and create measurable economic benefits.

At the same time, Komori will intensify its market development efforts in Europe. This includes increasing its presence with existing and new customers, systematically tapping into additional market segments, and more actively developing new business opportunities.

Another priority is closer collaboration within the Komori Group. The European subsidiaries, sales partners, and the various product and solution divisions are to link market information, customer requirements, and business opportunities more quickly and systematically.

Speed, clear responsibilities, and consistent implementation will be decisive factors in this process. The organization aims to identify changes in the market earlier, react more quickly, and translate existing technological and commercial strengths into growth more consistently.

Jacob Hummel, as Chief Commercial Officer, will assume responsibility for implementing this commercial strategy in Europe. This includes, in particular, further developing the European sales organization, gaining additional market share, tapping into new markets and customer segments, and further expanding solution-based sales.

With its new sales leadership, Komori International (Europe) B.V. is pursuing a clear goal: to grow in Europe, sustainably strengthen its market position, and accelerate its transformation from a press manufacturer to a provider of integrated production, automation, and digital solutions.
