News from the Hobs Group

Liverymen James Duckenfield and Craig Horwood, Group CEO and MD respectively of the Hobs Group, together with their staff assist the NHS with the provision of equipment using their 3D printing facilities.

Hobs 3D have been printing respirator valves, visors and masks for the NHS to help aid those on the frontline at this time.

Working alongside university research departments to build prototypes, Hobs 3D have quickly produced a number of models to be used in hospitals for clinical testing. They 3D printed the parts overnight on their large-format SLA printers (see main image), then sent them over to researchers for further post processing and testing. This vital PPE will help to ensure the safety of those working tirelessly at this time to combat COVID-19.

Hobs work alongside a wide variety of industries and are able to deliver high-speed solutions to fulfil a variety of requirements.. Whilst this is not their first time working in the medical sector, Hobs are currently continuing to supply PPE up and down the country during the current climate and you can see a video of their work here

Our thanks to Feargal McKenna and Abigail  Pestell of the Hobs Group for their assistance with this item,
