A CLOATHING CEREMONY - THE FIRST IN-PERSON CLOATHING IN 2021

29 JUNE 2021

A Cloathing Ceremony - the first in-person Cloathing in 2021

At a special and socially distanced meeting of the Court yesterday, 28 June 2021, the Master was delighted to cloathe three people in person and one via Zoom.  The ceremony took place at Cutler's Hall.

It was a very socially distanced ceremony with the Livery candidates  lined up at the back of the room with their sponsors well behind them.  Each new Liveryman had to put on his or her own gown and pick up his or her own certificate so that there was no physical contact.  Mark Fox joined via Zoom having been required to go into isolation that morning!  In spite of having to take all these precautions it was a very happy ceremony for everyone involved especially perhaps the Master whose ceremonial duties have been thin on the ground in this very odd year.

The new Liverymen are:

Lucy Denton - an Independent Architectural Historian, Arts Researcher and Writer
Mark Fox - Deputy Chairman, Reaction Digital Media
Andrew Hubbard - Director, Ai-London
Lewis Stevenson - Managing, Director Leeming Bros Fine Stationery
