Mayflower 400

On 4 September 2020 the Clerk delivered to the Houses of Parliament a commemorative scroll, the cost of which was  kindly covered by the Stationers' Company Charity Fund 1961, marking the 400 years since the departure of the Mayflower for the America.

The Scroll is a gift to the Government of the United States from the UK Parliament and sponsored by the Stationers' Company. The presentation will be made in America to their Speaker once travel to and from the USA is once more permitted.

Designed by Maisie Ronald, the scroll was printed by Barnard & Westwood, the seal was 3D-printed by Hobs and the presentation box was manufactured by Shepherds.  Our thanks to Liverymen Austen Kopley, James Duckenfield and Ali Strachan and their respective teams.  Members, who will be interested to note that the Clerk is a direct descendent of John Alden who sailed on the Mayflower,  can log in and click through here  to the Members' notice board to view a video of the ceremony.
