The  Stationers' Company is pleased to hear from FIPP, the network for global media

James Hewes, CEO and President of FIPP, one of the Trade Associations with which we maintain links has sent us this update of their activities during the Coronavirus crisis.  He has also kindly sent a link to their list of webinars and an in depth report on the crisis in magazine publishing. 

James writes:

  • We have pivoted our business entirely towards digital events in a very short space of time. To date, we’ve run a webinar every week since the start of April, with over 1,000 attendees in total so far. Subjects covered include : best practice in remote publishing; brand marketing strategies in a crisis; the latest innovations in media and the latest data on digital subscriptions rates from across the world
  • We’ve got lots more planned, these are all free to join so please feel free to share with your members, the complete schedule is kept updated here : https://www.fipp.com/pages/webinars
  • In the last couple of weeks, we’ve held some meetings with colleagues from across the world to assess the impact of the crisis on the magazine publishing industry. We’ve compiled this into a report, a copy of which  you can read here which can be distributed freely to anyone who might find it useful. We’ll be updating it regularly.

Overall, we don’t expect things to return to anything approaching normal until the middle of next year, so we’re planning accordingly!
