Strong gifting interest at two London events inspires festive campaign for premium illustrated book celebrating 100 stationery brands.
Stationery Icons, the 304-page illustrated hardback by Christopher Leonard-Morgan, has launched its first Christmas campaign, positioning the book as a distinctive gift for stationery enthusiasts, collectors and design lovers.
Running through to Christmas, the campaign combines advertising on StationeryNews.net and PGBuzz.net with promotional activity across Instagram and LinkedIn, celebrating the brands, personalities and stories that make stationery such an enduring fascination.
The campaign follows encouraging sales at two recent events: Open House at Stationers’ Hall on 20 September and the London Pen Show in Hammersmith on 10–11 October. Both highlighted the book’s appeal as a present, with customers purchasing copies for friends, family and fellow stationery enthusiasts.
Christopher Leonard-Morgan, author of Stationery Icons, commented:
“What’s been particularly encouraging is how many people see the book as a present for someone else. We all know someone who has a favourite fountain pen, treasures a particular notebook or simply can’t resist a stationery shop.
“Stationery Icons brings together the stories behind the brands they love in a book they can enjoy and return to for years to come.”
Featuring a foreword by Theo Paphitis, Stationery Icons explores six centuries of stationery history through 100 celebrated brands, including Post-it, Conway Stewart and Staedtler. From internationally recognised names to specialist manufacturers, the book reveals the heritage, innovation, craftsmanship and personalities behind products that have become part of everyday life.
The Christmas campaign also invites the 100 featured brands to celebrate their inclusion through their own social-media channels and customer communications, extending awareness of the book among stationery enthusiasts around the world.
Richard Webb, Publisher at Narrative Media, added:
“Stationery inspires a remarkable degree of affection and loyalty. What makes this book particularly special is the extraordinary breadth of stories it brings together, spanning six centuries of ingenuity, entrepreneurship and design.
“We’re also delighted to be giving the featured brands an opportunity to share their own stories with customers and followers, building on the wider interest generated by the campaign.”
With an initial print run of just 1,000 copies, the first edition of Stationery Icons is priced at £80 and available to order directly from www.stationeryicons.com.
