Liveryman Robert McClements, Principal, Grange Consults - Winner of the CPI's Gold medal 2025

I’m grateful to the CPI for the honour bestowed on me in the presentation of the Paper Gold Award 2025. Being invited to submit this essay has caused me to reflect on the journey which brought me to the award - my conclusion is that my progress was helped enormously by my mentors. Some of them were identified as such, others were more informal but equally important. I have been fortunate to be able, in turn, to offer mentorship to others and been greatly rewarded in the process.

HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN BECOMES AN HONORARY FREEMAN AND LIVERYMAN OF THE WORSHIPFUL COMPANY OF STATIONERS AND NEWSPAPER MAKERS

On Tuesday, 15 July The Queen was cloathed in the livery of the Stationers’ and Newspaper Makers’ Company, the City of London livery company for the communications and content industries, in recognition of Her Majesty’s work for literacy.

At an historic ceremony at Stationers’ Hall, the Master of the Stationers’ Company, Doug Wills, cloathed Her Majesty in the gown of the livery.

Richard Johnson ‘Bubble’ Service

Yesterday we held the Richard Johnson ‘Bubble’ Service at St Bride’s with a lunch at Stationers' Hall. It was an uplifting service followed by the chance to meet old friends and new.

Our Influencers LDN event was held on Tuesday, 20 May 2025.

We were lucky to have such an excellent group of speakers and our most grateful thanks go to Paul Cooper, Rupert Knowles, Ali Moore and Caroline Ward.

Liveryman Chris Leonard-Morgan wins The Stationers' Ambassador Award at the Stationery Show

The final award of the evening was a special award, the Stationery Ambassador award, awarded for the first time ever, with Chris Leonard-Morgan a very worthy recipient. “It was a huge honour to receive this award last night at London Stationery Show, surrounded by so many people and friends in this wonderful industry,” said Chris. “It is for sure one of the highlights of my career, and means so much to me. Thank you to everyone who has been part of my journey and helped make so much possible. Work isn’t work when you love what you do!”

“I attended a most enjoyable Literary Lunch organized by The Stationers’ Company at Ye Olde Watling pub near Mansion House.

“The pub is constructed with old ship beams, and was built by Sir Christopher Wren to accommodate some of his workforce following the Great Fire of London. Its main claim to fame is that it was in this building that the plans for St. Paul’s Cathedral were drawn up.
