An evening with Michael Binyon OBE- Wednesday 20 May 2026

Wednesday, 20 May 2026 - 18:30 until 20:30

Michael Binyon is one of Britain's most distinguished foreign correspondents, spending more than five decades at The Times. He served as Moscow correspondent in the 1970s, covered the fall of the Berlin Wall, and reported extensively on Middle East conflicts, before serving as diplomatic editor, Washington bureau chief and Brussels correspondent. He was awarded the British Press Award for Foreign Reporter of the Year and was appointed OBE for services to international journalism. Now, drawing on a lifetime witnessing the world's fault lines shift, he delivers a thought-provoking lecture posing the questions that preoccupy us all: how did the world ever get into this mess — and what happens next?
