British Book Design and Production Awards - Last Chance to Enter

The BPIF are keen to remind potential entrants about the British Book Design and Production Awards.

After an overwhelming response from publishers and printers, the British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF), in partnership with Oxford Brookes University and BookMachine recently announced the extension of the deadline to enter the British Book Design & Production Awards 2022 to FRIDAY 22 JULY. This deadline is now around the corner, so with 9 days to go, we are doing a final call for entries – this is your last chance!

As one of the most prestigious and popular literary events of the year, these are the only industry awards to promote and celebrate the excellence and craftsmanship of the British book design and production industry.

All books published between 9 July 2021 and 1 July 2022 are eligible for entry in this year’s awards.  There are 16 categories that represent the many various forms books can take. These include everything from Photographic books to Scholarly, Academic and Children’s categories.

There is also a specific category for aspiring students to enter their work. This category is free to enter and the winner will receive a cheque for £500 as well as a short internship with a leading designer, publisher or printer.

A panel of industry experts from the areas of design, publishing and production will judge all the entries. In addition to the 16 category winners, the book that outshines the rest will win the title of Book of the Year.

The deadline for entries is Friday 22 July 2022.  The awards will be presented at a dazzling ceremony on 7 November 2022 at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London.

The BPIF would like to thank its sponsors: Canon, Diamond Print Services, Halstan, IFS, Mondi, The Printing Charity, Winter & Company and media partners Oxford Brookes University and BookMachine.
