FREEMAN SIDONIE WARREN TALKS ABOUT THE FURLOUGH SCHEME AND HER BUSINESS ON BBC BREAKFAST

6 NOVEMBER 2020

Freeman Sidonie Warren talks about the furlough scheme and her business on BBC Breakfast

Those up with the early birds this morning may have seen Freeman Sidonie Warren of Papersmiths talking on BBC Breakfast about the extension of the furlough scheme.

Sidonie is Founder and CEO of Papersmiths and as so many companies have they have wrestled and struggled with the effects of the pandemic.  In her piece to camera Sidonie (see screen shot from BBC IPlayer)  said that she welcomed the extension of the furlough scheme but that she feared for the strength of the business when the extension ended as these weeks now, which are hit by the second lockdown,  were usually the vital ones in terms of generating income to support the business and she has been counting on that to rebuild in the spring!

You can watch the clip (it starts at about 08:12 am on the programme clock  and you will need to scroll through to 2:14:04 of the programme's duration) on IPlayer here  but only until 09.15 tomorrow morning  (7 November) which is a shame as we know that what Sidonie says  will strike a chord with so many of our members.
